Transferring folders to iCloud.com mail

I am trying to get rid of Google on my Apple Mac, iPad and iPhone and have started creating an iCloud mail account.

However, Google will not allow me to forward any emails from my Safari Mail. Any advice please .. gratefully received. All I want to do is transfer my files.

Many thanks

The easiest way to do this isn't through Safari or the web interface, but by using the Mail app on your Mac.

If you add both your Gmail account and your new iCloud account to the Mail app (via System Settings > Internet Accounts), both will appear in the sidebar. From there, you can simply drag and drop your folders (mail boxes) from the Google section down to the iCloud section.

Just a heads up: if you have a lot of emails, this will take some time to upload everything to the iCloud server, so keep the Mail app open until it finishes syncing.
