My MacBook Pro M1 recently stopped showing the F buttons while I hold the globe/fn key. I have the press and hold Fn key set to show F1, F2 ect. keys. I tried resetting the Control Strip and Touch Bar, I've restarted my Mac after making the changes but it still won't show

Try enabling the Accessibility Keyboard option in the "Accessibility --> Keyboard" System Settings. This will allow you to confirm if the physical key is registering as a key press on the virtual keyboard.

What happens on the virtual keyboard? On my M1 laptop with Touchbar and macOS 26.3 Tahoe..... when pressing the Fn key I see the arrow keys change, Return key, Delete key, and all of the Function keys. What happens on the virtual keyboard when you press the Fn key? That may provide a clue.
Maybe another contributor will have some suggestions.
