Apple Watch 8 battery drains quickly after iOS 26.3 update

Apple watch 8 updated to IOS 26.3 and even after waiting several days the battery drains still very quickly. I don't do lots of things with my watch. so I don't understand what is draining it. I don't have lot of settings on e.g. I have turned off background app refresh. I thought this update was supposed to improve battery life. Any ideas as to what I can do please?

Thanks

Apple Watch Series 8, watchOS 26

Did you already try to force restart your iPhone and Apple Watch, in case there are syncing issues between the watch and iPhone?

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

To force restart your watch, press and hold the Digital Crown and the Side button together for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again.

In case this does not work, erasing the watch and paring it again, without using the latest backup data would be the the next step, before contacting the official Apple Support about it and asking them to diagnose the watch online.

You will only lose your created Watch faces and may have to activate the cards in your Wallet app again.

Then test the battery life again.
