Music on Mac - Seek, Volume, Next/Previous at the top?

How can I move the player in the new OS X to the top?

It is so cluttered at the bottom, have to 2 click for volume, its hard to see and theres a blank space where it used to live.

Absolutely push users to your new design philosophy but something that has worked since iTunes 1, at least give us the option to put it back if we don't like it?

Unfortunately, there's no native setting to move the controls back to the top in the new Music app design. Apple hardcoded that layout change.

I found it annoying too, especially the volume slider being hidden. I ended up using a menu bar controller app (like Sleeve or Music Bar) just to have the seek/volume controls always visible at the top of the screen again. It’s not the same as the old iTunes layout, but at least it saves the extra clicks.

I totally agree!

Furthermore, I can no longer change the music settings on the songs I "upload" to the app. I've been ripping my CDs to my Mac for years, but since I switched from my old iMac with an outdated program to the new Mac Studio updated to Tahoe, I can't do it like I used to. Several functions are no longer supported and/or usable, such as adjusting the volume on a per-song basis.

If you have any possible solutions, please share them.
