Can I use my Ipad with HP docking station?

Hi!

I’m planning to buy an iPad Air M4 and I have a question. At work I’m using an HP Universal Docking Station G2 (DisplayLink‑capable), and before buying the iPad I’d like to know whether it works together with this docking station. Can it provide power, keyboard and mouse support, and output to a large external monitor? Is it possible to create a desktop‑like experience with it? Some websites suggest using a USB‑C hub, but those are traditional USB‑C hubs, not an HP docking station.

It should work normally, at least for the USB, ethernet and the HDMI ports.

It won't drive the Display Link display ports since iPads have no support for Display Link and no way to install Display Link drivers on them.

You should be able to run a display from the HDMI port and plug in a keyboard and mouse to the USB ports and get a desktop experience, though the main interface won't change. You'll just see the iPad's desktop directly on the display.

Most things should be manageable with the mouse and keyboard but some may still need touch input directly on the iPad's screen.
