How to enable middle click functionality on MacBook M4 trackpad?

I just bought a new M4 Mac to try out ARM. I’m shocked that the touchpad doesn’t support triple click natively?

What are the current best software choices to get that functionality back? Otherwise it’s absolutely wonderful.

Mac supports triple-clicking, but I think the actions that the feature invokes are would be app specific or defined custom actions.

For example, Pages and Safari both support triple-clicking in text to select a text line or paragraph.

Triple-click functions are otherwise not widespread within the macOS operating environment.

Edit - I don't know anything about "middle click functionality".
