iPad status bar icons are overlayed by app icons

I don't know how to explain this any better than to say that the icons on the iPad screen for things like WiFi and date and such seem to be overlayed by icons apps, like Facebook, mail and other apps. This is causing usability issues. See pictures.

This is an unresolved bug within iPadOS 26. Rotating your iPad from Landscape orientation to Portrait and back (or vice versa) will often clear the formatting problem.

You and anyone else that encounters this issue would be best advised to submit a bug report to Apple via the product feedback page. Please include full iPad model details and installed version of iPadOS within the body report.
