How do I fix iPhone freezing and spinning wheel during Scotia Bank app login?

when i try to sign into my scotia bank on my laptop it sends a two factor authentication code to my iphone 16 asking if this is me when i accept it and try's to open my scotia bank app on my phone a red line goes down the left side of my phone and a Spinning Wheel

keeps going round and round ive tried every thing from deleting the app to getting help at the bank nothing works.
