On Mac (Safari for macOS)
Method 1 — Remove the site from the “Never Saved” list
If you once told Safari not to save a password, Safari adds that site to a blocklist.
After removing it, Safari will once again offer to save the password the next time you log in.
Method 2 — Manually add the password
Safari will then auto‑fill this login going forward.
On iPhone or iPad (iOS Safari)
Method 1 — Remove the “Never Save” entry
Now Safari will again offer to save the password next time you log in.
Method 2 — Add password manually
Safari will auto‑fill it from now on.

Thank you for the help. One additional step I had to preform in order to get the Safari offer to save the password was to cancel the 'remember me' selection on the particular web page I was working with. Unit I cancel the 'remember me' selection I would not receive the Safari offer to save the password.
