How to re-enable auto population of a website password on Safari?

On Mac (Safari for macOS)

Method 1 — Remove the site from the “Never Saved” list

If you once told Safari not to save a password, Safari adds that site to a blocklist.

1. Open Safari
2. Go to Safari → Settings… (Preferences on older macOS)
3. Select the Passwords tab
4. Authenticate with Touch ID / Password
5. Look for a section called “Never Saved” or a list entry with a crossed‑out password
6. Delete that entry

After removing it, Safari will once again offer to save the password the next time you log in.

Method 2 — Manually add the password

1. Go to Safari → Settings → Passwords
2. Click the + button
3. Add the website, username, and password manually

Safari will then auto‑fill this login going forward.

On iPhone or iPad (iOS Safari)

Method 1 — Remove the “Never Save” entry

1. Open Settings
2. Scroll to Passwords
3. Authenticate with Face ID / Touch ID
4. Scroll to the bottom and look for “Never Saved”
5. Tap the website you want to restore
6. Tap Delete

Now Safari will again offer to save the password next time you log in.

Method 2 — Add password manually

1. Settings → Passwords
2. Tap + in the top‑right
3. Add website, username, and password

Safari will auto‑fill it from now on.
