It would help to know the exact model of your Mac. Since you cannot click on the Apple menu & select "About This Mac", you will need to use the Apple check coverage page here:

https://checkcoverage.apple.com/

Have you tried to use a wired keyboard & mouse? It should allow you to log into macOS, but then the external keyboard & mouse may stop working since you cannot authorize them in macOS to be activated on the USB-C ports (chicken & egg like problem)....it may however provide some useful information. I seem to recall the wired external keyboard & mouse stopped working once logged into macOS due to certain Privacy & Security System Settings regarding the USB-C ports occurring one time, but I am not 100% certain.

Usually if the built-in Keyboard & Trackpad both are not functioning at the same time, it usually indicates a hardware failure of some sort involving the Keyboard, Trackpad, and/or the Logic Board.

See if you can run the Apple Diagnostics (you may need to use an external keyboard & mouse if the built-in Keyboard & Trackpad still don't work with the Apple Diagnostics).
