Apple Maps: Old 'Home' address cannot be removed

Apple Map Glitch

I have moved house twice (and changed address in my contact card, and in maps) and had 2 different iPhones since living at an address 2 years ago.

However when I search ‘Home’ in Apple Maps it STILL brings up this old address (as well as my new one).

It claims it is in Favourites, which it is not, so cannot delete it that way.

There is no marker/pin on the map at the address.

I have cleared Significant Locations.

Deleted and reinstalled Apple Maps and it persists to be there.

The address I moved to between this deleted no issue, and doesn’t appear in this way.

How can I get rid of this really old address from coming up, as sometimes I select it by mistake?

Any tips?

An old “Home” address showing in Apple Maps usually comes from a cached Siri/Maps suggestion, not from your contact card or Favorites.

1. Open Maps ➡️ swipe up the panel ➡️ Recents ➡️ swipe left on the old Home address ➡️ tap Delete.

2. Open Settings ➡️ Siri & Search ➡️ turn Show in Look Up OFF, then ON to refresh Siri’s suggestion cache.

3. Open Contacts ➡️ your contact card ➡️ confirm only your correct Home address is listed.

4. Open Settings ➡️ Maps ➡️ Clear History.

5. Restart the iPhone to reload Maps and Siri data.

If the old Home address still appears, it is coming from iCloud’s Siri data and needs to be cleared on the server.

6. Open Settings ➡️ your Apple ID ➡️ iCloud ➡️ Show All ➡️ turn Siri OFF, wait 10 seconds, turn it ON.

This forces iCloud to rebuild your Siri/Maps suggestions using only your current Home address.

Hi hollipoppers, I had the same issue as you and all the other options other people provided didn't work. What did work for me if when you open Apple Maps, in the top right hand corner click on your profile, go to the Library and most likely in there you'll find your old address where you can unpin or delete it. I deleted mine and I then went to search a new address for directions and my new address appeared once I created it as "My Location". Hope this works for you. Cheers
