iPhone 16 Pro battery usage in iOS 26

I recently upgraded my iPhone 16 Pro to iOS 26.3 from Sequoia..

Battery usage is UP significantly since the upgrade. This statement is base on bth my perception and iOS Battery usage graphs.

I upgraded 3 days ago from the latest Sequoia iOS (15.something), ALL 3 days show above average battery use.

Maybe 3 days is just a small sample, but it is enough to have me concerned.

The only reason I upgraded was to get current Sequoia security patches which were unavailable for this model iPhone.

The learning curve in this upgrade is punishing enough and the added pain of increased battery usage is downright ugly.

No guarantees, but try the iOS 26.3.1 update that just appeared for your iPhone.

It will take 2-3 days or longer for the iPhone to index everything again, so battery use will be higher than normal during this period. The phone may also be warmer than normal.

Actually I am running 26.3.1, the website pulldown didn't have that selection.

The info regarding 2-3 days of indexing may be pertinent. Thanks for that info.
