Trying to use the Home Pod Mini - cannot connect

My HomeKit container will not initialize. The Home app cannot create ‘My Home’ on any device. Please reset my HomeKit data in iCloud

All Homekit devices stop responding The Home application (Mac or IOS) is working fine. Then, all devices are marked as not responding. The only option is that the entire home is deleted and the devices are re-added. This include third-party devices like the circle view door bell and Apple HomePods.

Adding HomeKit to user ios 15 For years I’ve been using an original iPad Air on IOS 12.5.7 in my kitchen as a Home hub and for viewing recipes, running timers etc. I’ve also got a newer iPad Air 2, which I would prefer to use ( fingerprint recognition instead of password every time ). It’s running IOS 15..8 I’ve just got a a HomePod mini to host Home instead of the old iPad, but I can’t see any way of getting that iPad Air 2 to connect to Home. When I try to send out an invitation from my iPhone, I get an error message “Cannot Send Invitation - You can add people using an iCloud address with Home enabled” As far as I can see, the iPad does have an iCloud account and Home is enabled. It works fine on other iPhones and newer iPads on IOS16 Is Home now restricted to IOS16 devices only? Alternatively, am I missing something obvious, or is there a workaround?

HomeKit stopped working after changing Apple ID! I changed my Apple ID and my HomeKit stopped working. It created a new Home with my new Apple ID! How can I at least transfer my old Scenes and Accessories to the new Home?? Or how do I change the existing Home's Apple ID??? This is so frustrating and counter- intuitive!!

I've had the same issue. At one point I had enough of them not connecting properly, I send them to recycling. Your better off with regular bluetooth speakers.
