How to unblock a second-hand iPhone 15 Pro Max after software update?

I bought a not new iPhone 15 Pro Max, after the software was updated, the iPhone was blocked, is there anything I can do? I have the iPhone and the box

Define "blocked".


if it's activation locked, only the owner of the account used to lock it can remove the activation lock.

Contact whoever you got it from. If they can't or won't do it, get your money back. If you can't do that and you didn't buy it using a service that provides some form of buyer protection, you're hosed.


Recycle it and take this as a life lesson in the dangers of buying used Apple equipment from untrustworthy sources.
