How do I block a number? I have an iPhone SE and until around three updates ago, when I had a call I wanted to block, once I'd rung off, I could see the number and at the bottom, it said "Block number". This has now disappeared. How do I block now, please? I went to the store in Lakeside and was told I had to make the call a known contact before I could block it. This seems a bit convoluted.

No, not exactly. After the call or whatever activity, ope the phone app to Recents, tap the i icon, scroll down to the bottom and tap Block Contact. The “contact card” displayed doesn’t actually show up in Contacts unless you save it.

This has been reported by a lot of SE owners here and appears to be limited to 2nd and 3rd gen SE models. For me it started with 26.1 and was not corrected in 26.3.
