Stopping Google Updater pop-ups

How do I get rid of the google updater pop up.

iMac 24″, macOS 26.4

Get rid of whatever is using it. That would normally be Chrome, Google Photos, Google Drive, etc... Mac's don't have or need the Google updater. This comes from some Google app you installed.


Or you can turn it off so it does not attempt to run in Settings ➜ General ➜ Login items & Extensions, but then that will likely prevent whatever Google app is using it from updating.


You can always try re-installing whatever Google app is using it and see if it fixes the issue.
