Cannot open pdf attachments in emails on iPad

Cannot open pdf file attachments in emails on my iPad. I can open them on my iPhone. This only started happening a few weeks ago, previously I could open them no problem. Error msg reads: Error opening file, requested URL not found on this server. Seems to have happened after last update?
