Charging Apple Magic Mouse 2

My Apple Magic Mouse 2 does not charge the battery up to 100%. Is there a way to check its battery health and determine whether it needs to be replaced? It is also lasting less time than expected. 🔋🖱️

Magic Mouse 2 was introduced in October 2015 and discontinued in October 2024. So, your mouse might be anywhere from about 2 to 10+ years old.

About how old is your Magic Mouse? I had to replace my mouse (the version that used a Lightning port) after about 5-6 years as I recall because the battery had declined noticeably at that time.

(You will need a USB-C cable to charge the new Magic Mouse.)
