I have a question about privacy when using the ChatGPT model in a shortcut. I want to parse a selected text with contact information and then create a VCF file with it. How will ChatGPT handle the contact information after I used it for the parsing? Is there a danger that it will use the information for other purposes? Like selling the contact data or gathering information about people?

Yes. You have practically no control over what ChatGPT does with your questions or data. It is unlikely to sell you data but it might be more than happy to give it away.

We don't know Apple's plans for this year. A mistake I've seen with using AI in shortcuts is cramming a long, complex prompt into a single "Use Model" action. Try splitting your parsing into multiple, simpler prompts / actions.

I exchanged some messages with the lead developer of one of the contact apps for the Apple environment. He wrote that contact data parsing is a “hard problem”. It's been bad for many years now, and so far, no solution is available without the use of good AI models. It might work if someone only lives in the USA bubble, but I get emails from many countries in many languages and formatting.
I posted a link to the shortcut in a post on Reddit under r/shortcuts. It's where the question about safety with ChatGPT came up.
The Private Cloud Compute model doesn't perform as well with the contact data parsing. Maybe it will get better this year?
