Re: “I am not a gamer, mainly use it for texts, phone calls and pictures. Which is value for money?”
Texts and phone calls are easy for any phone to handle. So the questions you want to ask yourself may revolve around what types of camera features you want, and how much device storage you need.
If I am not mistaken, the iPhone 16e, 17e, and Aur lack wide-angle (0.5x) cameras, and have USB-C ports that lack support for DisplayPort output. The Pro and Pro Max models have the most elaborate cameras, but also are the most expensive.
A regular 16 or 17 with enough storage might be a good choice if you want the wide-angle camera option, but don’t need to have the absolute highest-end device. I have a much older iPhone 12 mini that, like the plain 16 and 17, has two rear cameras, and it has served me fairly well for taking pictures.
