Battery drainage across multiple different devices on os 26.3.x

Ever since installing the 26.3 (and 26.3.1) updates we’ve seen constant battery drainage on all devices (iPhone 16, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 mini, watch series 7 and 11, MBP M4 Pro, multiple iPads).

I’ve done some digging and it seems like devices are constantly sending data to iCloud ever since installed.

I’m attaching some screenshots from my router where the sudden traffic increase can be seen for multiple of the devices. The first screenshot shows devices that are just idling with a constant network traffic. The rest of the screenshots shows 30 day traffic.

This is surely a bug that needs to be taken care of.

Edit: we can see the same trend on the SIM cards usage on the phones. From using about 6GB every month my wife is already on 14GB this month.

OK, those graphics are virtually meaningless in this context. If you need an explanation, ask the developers of the app that produced the graphics. I’m not familiar with the app, graphics, or the context/snapshop they’re displaying. Sorry.

On the Apple Communities we need to review the graphics Apple Provides. Please follow this path and post screenshots of the information Apple and your Apple device provides.

iPhone > Settings > Battery > screenshot

iPhone > Settings > Battery > View All Battery Usage > Screenshot

That was incredibly helpful...

The graphs shows increased network traffic for Apple devices on my network, which correlates with the 26.3.x updates and battery drainage problems. Something that Apples logs can't show in any way.

A constant 200kbps traffic amount to roughly 2GB of data sent per day, which would for sure explain the battery drainage.

The Battery logs for Apple devices can at best be described as a joke.

My guess is that there is some leftover debug logging that is calling Apples servers constantly.
