Can you use Sidecar to connect an iPad Pro (2018) to the new MacBook Neo to use the iPad Pro (2018) as a drawing tablet?

Hi, I was recently looking into getting a MacBook Neo to replace my dying HP laptop. I currently have an iPad Pro (2018 model), and I heard you can use iPads as a drawing tablet for your Mac if you connect them via Sidecar. I was wondering if I can do this with my iPad. I know older models tend not to connect well with each other, as the new Apple Pencil Pro doesn't connect with the 2018 iPad Pro.

Thank you!

iPad Pro, iPadOS 26

It would appear so. See:

Continuity features and requirements for Apple devices – Apple Support

Use an iPad as a second display for a Mac – Apple Support lists additional requirements.

All iPad Pros support Sidecar, provided that they are running iPadOS 13 or later. 2018 iPad Pros originally shipped with iPadOS 12.1, but can be updated to the latest release of iPadOS 26.

The MacBook Neo isn't called out by name, but falls into the category of "All other Mac models introduced in 2016 or later [running] macOS Catalina 10.15 or later." I would not expect the MacBook Neo to be the "odd man out" as that catch-all category includes a lot of Intel-based Macs that were less powerful than the MacBook Neo.
