iMac M4 HDMI to Roku TV: Reboot needed for Propresenter

Hi all, I have a iMac 24-inch All-in-One - M4 chip. Just bought it for our church in January. I am a very very novice apple user. The iMac is connected to a mounted Roku TV via HDMI adapter. The only program we run that did not come with the computer is Propresenter. All is working after much trial and error. My question is, we leave the system running and it is basically only used one night a week. When I log in and start propresenter the signal doesn't seem to go to the tv (propresenter is configured correctly). However if I re-boot the system you can see the feed on the tv screen as it's booting and all works well. Is there a setting or something on the iMac that I need to set or change so we don't have to reboot the system every time we use it? Thank you for your time.

Sounds like the iMac is loosing the connection when the Roku TV is turned off, which is not uncommon for macOS.

If you are only using the iMac one night a week..? Then your best bet is to just shut down the iMac and startup when it is needed.

If someone else is using the iMac during the week without the Roku TV..? Try disconnecting the USB-C to HDMI adapter and cable from the iMac during the week and only connect it when you need to use the Roku TV.

Thanks. Sounds like that could be a thing. I leave it on so it will update but mostly because I have a ssd drive connected to it to do a time machine backup once a week. We only use it once a week because it's for a support group that only meets on Monday's. Maybe I could connect the ssd another way and try disconnecting the hdmi like you say. (They both run off the same adapter).
