When you have created a new Pages document from a word processing template, you cannot remove any page via the thumbnail menu. Instead, select all content on the page that needs to be deleted, and press back-space twice. The second time to remove the invisible page break.


Only the page layout templates provide a page removal from the thumbnail because each page is also a section. The green annotation below is mine. The Blank Layout is a page layout template.
