iPhone 13 Pro: Wi-Fi connected but no internet

iPhone13 Pro - In Settings, WiFi, I have wifi connection to my home internet / router as usual. However, attemting to open any app requiring wifi, I get the message "not currently connected to internet". I have tried cycling airplane mode, no success. I have tried turning phone off and back on afre a few minutes, no success. All other devices in house including my iPad have internet connection no problem. Any

ideas please ?

I'm very glad to see you got it sorted and things are working as they should! I would completely remove the Nord VPN from your phone.

I understand you said everyone else in the house can connect. However, I still think it's worth trying to unplug your router and leave it unplugged for 10-15 minutes. Plug it back in and once it's completely connected, try again.


Another thing to try is resetting your network settings. Settings>General>Transfer or Reset>Reset iPhone>Reset Network Settings. The only data you will lose is saved WiFi passwords.


Also, what happens with other WiFi networks? Can you connect to them?

In fact I had to go down to Apple store as only just seen your message, but yes it was NORD VPN blocking my internet. You are also correct, the Apple "genius" confirmed that there is no need for VPN on any Apple device and as you say can cause connectivity problems, so if you do have VPN installed make sure it is turned OFF !

Do you by chance have a VPN installed on your phone, whether you use it or not? VPN on iPhone is not needed (unless required by a school or employer) and often causes connectivity issues like you've described.
