iPhone 13 Pro battery shows 0% and won't charge

"Hello! I have an iPhone 13 Pro. The battery shows 0%, although it was charged up to 80%. I've already tried restarting the phone and calibrating the battery, but the issue persists. The capacity was 100% but the iPhone suddenly turned off and shows 0% and won't charge from 1%. Can you help me solve this problem?" 😊

Hello,

Start with these steps:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
  3. Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo (could be as long as 30 seconds)

The timing is a little critical, you may have to try it several times. See this for more detail:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won‘t turn on or is frozen

Then see:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won‘t charge

Good luck.

It won't hurt to perform the Forced Restart, but I doubt that it will help.

The capacity was 100%

No way that the Maximum Capacity would be 100% on an iPhone 13 Pro......unless.....you have replaced the battery very recently. Can your clarify on that please?

The iPhone 13 Pro was discontinued in September 2022, so even if you bought one of the last phones off the line, the battery has well over 3 years of use on it at this point. I would expect the Maximum Capacity to be in the low 80 percent range at this point, maybe even lower.

Make an appointment at the Apple Store / Genius Bar or an authorized Apple service shop to have the battery checked and tested.
