My iPhone 16 has paint chipping

I bought my iphone 16 less than 2 months ago, and I’m having issues about paint chipping on my iPhone 16. I always bought products of Apple, cause I’ve never had issues with the products. But now, I’m having. In the photo you can see little white points in the both camera, this is the camera paint chipping.

I always use protective cases, including onde prevent the camera from touching surfaces.

Well, something contacted the lens surfaces. This look like chips in the glass to me. If the case did not protect the camera lenses (seems the issue here) then you may have a claim against the maker of the case.

NOTE: No one "paints" camera lenses. They may have a micro-thin anti-reflection and color-correction coating that is applied by plasma-phase deposition, but what I see looks far deeper than the almost immeasurable thinness of an optical coating.

If I subscribe to AppleCare+, will it cover cosmetic damage like mine ?

Unlikely. My understanding is that, if you do not bundle AppleCare + with the purchase of the device but you are in the 60-day grace period, Apple can reserve the right to physically inspect the device for pre-existing damage.

Typically paint chipping is indicative of cosmetic damage, and is does not fall under Apple's 1 year manufacturers warranty which covers defects in parts and workmanship. Also, Apple does not repair cosmetic damage that does not affect the functionality of the device. And from your photo it is barely noticeable so I would not worry.

Apple will not provide Hardware Services or ADH Services in the following circumstances:

(a) To protect against normal wear and tear, or to repair cosmetic damage not affecting the functionality

Even AppleCare+ will not cover cosmetic damage. As per the quote above, Apple does not cover for ADH, which stands for Accidental Damage Handling, which is a core component of the AppleCare+ plan. It only covers damage that would affect the functionality of your iPhone.
