Apple Account password reset

Please I created a new Apple account Id but fortunately I can’t get the password right most likely I missed a word or digit and I’m trying to reset the password but it takes a while and saying verification can’t be sent to my trusted number at this time ,is it possible to change my password and will it be successful ?
