Blocking texts works when the texts are from the same (blocked) numbers.

Which texts from many spammers won’t be.

Apps such as Wipr can work as well for blocking political texts and surveys and such, as they block based on the contents of the text messages, and the patterns of the senders. With Wipr, you can block particular words, and particular countries, for instance.
