AirPods Pro 2 Find My 'sound pending' after iPhone 17 Pro

Hi I’m just reaching out regarding the Find My functionality on my AirPods Pro (2nd generation), as I’ve been having a bit of trouble with it.

One of the reasons I chose this model was the ability to locate them easily and play a sound from the case, which used to work really well for me.

Since upgrading my iPhone to the 17 Pro, I’ve noticed that they now often show as “last seen” with “sound pending”, even when they’re nearby. It just makes it a bit harder to locate them in everyday situations.

I’ve already tried resetting and re-pairing the AirPods, checked all the settings, and made sure the case is charged, but the issue is still there.

I was just wondering if this is expected behaviour, or if there might be something else I could try?
