Will the new Studio Display work with Sequoia 15.7.4?

Will the new revision of the Studio Display work with Sequoia 15.7.4? I know that the specs says its compatible with Tahoe but I'm still running 15.7.4 on my M4Pro Mini and for several reasons, I can't yet upgrade to Tahoe. I realize that some features may not be available until I upgrade my OS but has anyone tried it yet with Sequoia?

Yes, the Apple Studio Display XDR works with macOS Sequoia, but it requires Apple Silicon Macs and macOS 15.3 or later, with some users reporting detection issues (resolved by unplugging/replugging). It is not compatible with Intel-based Macs. Note that 120Hz refresh rates are restricted to newer, more powerful Apple Silicon models, while older M1/M2/M3 chips may be limited to 60Hz. Apple Support Community

  • Key Requirement: The Display XDR requires TB5 (Thunderbolt 5) cables for best performance, and some setups are optimized for macOS Tahoe.
