How to create a wall-mounted, no-touch daily calendar for an older father on iPad using Google Calendar?

Looking for recs for a friend's older father. He's got lots of meds and appointments and we want a clean, daily, no-maintenance, no-touch calendar...

They want to create a wall mounted digital calendar on their iPad. From his perspective they want it to function like an image. He is not going to be touching it. Every day, he will wake up and just look at his schedule for the day.

The app needs:

1. to be on all the time
2. to flip automatically to the current day
3. to be legible (large text)
4. to be uncomplicated

They've been experimenting with the built-in kiosk mode on an iPad. Road blocks they've run into:

1. Google calendar on the “day” setting does not automatically scroll to the next day.
2. Google calendar does not have a font size setting in the app and does not respond to system wide changes to font size.
3. They’ve tested google calendar in the “schedule” view. It shows a list of appointments over multiple days. This view also doesn’t flip automatically.
4. They’ve tried using Apple Calendar and that is no better for any of the above issues and I find it is less intuitive.

Mostly what they want is for him to see google calendar in a “day” view that will automatically flip to the next day. They’ve wondered if there is any simple kiosk app that flips the board every day at midnight or 1:00 am or something.

Any input, any insights, or recommendations would be delightful.
