Cannot change external drive icons in Tahoe 26.4

It’s worse than I thought. All of my custom folder icons disappeared after the 26.4 update and I haven’t yet figured out how to restore or reconstruct them. And the macOS Apple TV app is still a mess if you want to see titles for video groups. Can't Apple get any updates right anymore?

Thank you den.thed. I know about the feedback method. However, because Apple has not [yet] fixed the last two problems I identified using the feedback link, I submitted this inquiry to see if any Community users have found a fix for this issue.

Thanks again for the suggestions, den.thed. Unfortunately, I tried all of that and more without success. I did submit a report to Apple as you reminded me in hopes of getting them to fix the problem. Still, I should not have lost all of my custom icons so that I now need to insert new images but cannot do so with 26.4. (That is, the Apple-approved method that had previously worked as expected in 26.3 and earlier no longer works for me with 26.4.) In the recent couple of years this kind of issue has been more frequent than before, Whatever happened to "it just works"?
