MacBook Air password incorrect after low battery

Hi guys, my MacBook Air died because of low battery, but when I turned it on and tried to fill in password to enter - it constantly shows “Incorrect Password”, and then “try again in 5/15 mins”.

But cmon, I’m 100000% sure that it’s correct (for such stuff, I have one and only password, so it’s correct)

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 14.7

Have you tried using an external keyboard?

Do you have multiple languages or keyboard layouts? If so, then that may have gotten changed.

Also, make sure the Caps Lock is not activated. Check both the physical key does not have its LED on and check to make sure the password box does not show an indicator for Shift/Caps Lock. I have seen a Mac where macOS got out of sync with the Shift/Caps Lock key......the password box showed Shift/Caps Lock was activated when the Caps Lock LED on the physical key was dark. Pressing the Caps Lock key toggled both and allowed the proper characters for the password.
