Logic Pro recorded audio silent with headphones (M5 MBA

Hi, fellow Logic Pro users. 

First time using Logic on the M5 MBA Tahoe, I noticed that the playback won't show meter although the playhead is moving - only when I plug a headphone directly to the MBA. 

System setting is set to headphone out, and all other apps/programs playback through headphone just fine. 

Only the audio tracks that I recorded through an external audio interface is not playing through headphone, while MIDI instruments will play. 

Recording isn't corrupt, since they play fine through speakers. 

I made sure Logic Pro is up to date (12.0.1) and also the Tahoe is up to date. (26.4)

What possibly could be the cause?

Disabling/enabling core audio on the setting, restarting, no luck there.

Any help greatly appreciated...
