After upgrade to ios26.4 the portrait mode is not working on my iPhone 16 pro max. I can set the aperture while taking the photo but then in Photos app it's not a portrait photo, I can't adjust the "blur" afterwards either as you should. Any one else got this problem?

Does it work if you toggle to Studio liggt and then back? That activates the portrait mode for me. I have reported it too, sat an hour with apple support in Irland, collecting logs, screen recordings.

I also have this problem – and toggling the light mode also fixes it for me
Oddly enough, it seems to be working right now if you toggle portrait mode on using the action button rather than the menu option. Has anybody else tried it this way?
yes, my iPhone 16 pro got that problem too after upgrading to iOS 26.4 yesterday. I use portrait mode everyday, so it definitely bug of the new software upgrading.
Same thing for me on 16 Pro Max. I’ve tried everything and it will not work for me. I have reported the bug to Apple. Such a shame as I use Portrait mode for all my photos ☹️
