How do I fix 'Respond with text' using a UK number after traveling to Ireland?

Hello everyone

Hoping someone will be able to help me.

Two weeks ago I flew to Ireland for 24 hours for a funeral, since I have been back every time I have to send a text using ‘respond with text’ the phone takes the uk number and pops +353 in front of it making it an Irish number (obviously these texts bounce back!) I have tried many things to rectify the situation but cannot work out how to sort this out!

can anyone help?

Settings → General → Language & Region

  • Make sure Region = United Kingdom (or your actual country)
  • If it already is: Change it temporarily to another country (e.g., India)
    • Restart phone
    • Change it back to UK

This forces a reset of regional dialing rules.

Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset Network Settings
