How to silence an AirTag for car tracking?
Can I silence my AirTag? I want to place one in my car for tracking, but don't want it to beep. Why give the bad peeps a warning?

First, using an AirTag to track a vehicle is not a suitable application. To ensure that AirTags are not inappropriately used for tracking people, by design, Apple and Google devices raise an alert where these devices are "following" a person. In this context, placing an AirTag upon somebody's person is no different to placing an AirTag in a vehicle that contains people.
AirTags have an internal sounder - that cannot be disabled using software settings. Some individuals have attempted to physically modify AirTag, with varying success, to remove the sounder from an AirTag.
For vehicle tracking, while you might attempt to use an AirTag subject to its limitations, you would be best advised to purchase a vehicle tracker that is intended for the purpose
