iphone 13 stuck on support.apple.com/iphone/restore following attempted upgrade to IOS 26 on Itunes
Have tried various routes on apple community but am unable to get past the above screen.
Any thoughts appreciated

iTunes is an old application. If you have not already downloaded and installed Apple Devices for your PC, you could give that a try.
Install the Apple Devices app on WindowsApple SupportOfficial Apple Support › guide › windows
If still no luck, this not going to be one of those things that you can fix by yourself. Make an appointment at the Apple Store / Genius Bar or take the phone to an authorized Apple service shop.

Thanks Bob, during further analysis I had downloaded apple devices and set it to perform the update to ios 26.
While it didn't complete, it did take my phone out of the 'support.apple.com/iphone/restore' impasse so I have my phone back .... progress. Guess I'll need an appointment at Apple Store if I ever want to upgrade from IOS 18.
