How to remove DVD from a dead machine

I recently had a problem with my MBP (which I was later told was a logic board failure) and during troubleshooting I loaded the SL DVD to boot the machine from the super drive. I was able to load the DVD into the SuperDrive but the machine didn't boot at all. Now I'm unable to remove the disk from the SuperDrive.

Tried pressing the eject button. Nothing.
Started up the machine while pressing the trackpad button. Nothing.

What can I do besides tearing the machine apart?

Your help is greatly appreciated.
