Text appears in reverse in Numbers on M4 iMac

In Numbers, text appears in reverse. For example, if I type 123 it shows as 321
iMac 24″, macOS 26.2
No, it doesn't. I was able to solve the problem by Force Quitting Numbers as the document wouldn't close when clicking the red Close button. On relaunching Numbers, the problem had disappeared. I've no idea how it had occurred but I'm pleased it's no longer an issue!
