Cleaning the silent switch button with a toothpick

Can I clean the silent switch button by myself using a toothpick?

the iPhone 11 has a mechanical switch that should not be especially delicate. you could attempt to clean it with toothpick.


if you have an Apple-owned store available to you, you can make a genius bar appointment and have them do a professional job, and clean the Lightning port at the same time.


if no parts are consumed during the process, there is generally no charge at an Apple-owned store.


Apple-Authorized Service Providers may charge a fee, to keep you from consuming their expensive techniciain time with 'frivolous' [read: non-money-making] requests.
