MacBook shuts down when display screen is flipped down

After installing Tahoe 26.4, when I flip down the display on my MacBook (Pro M2), it shuts the display off, and also causes bugs like quitting applications set to be hidden, or not allowing to interact with applications through any means. This is very annoying for example when I use Logic Pro; if I want to use my external midi keyboard to play or record something, I flip down my Mac's screen to provide myself more space. But when I flip it down in the latest version, it causes Logic Pro to bug out and disable my midi keyboard.

Yes if you close the lid it puts the mac to sleep.
