Hi: I’m running Migration Assistant from my 2020 MacBook Air pro to my new Mac Mini. It’s been stuck on “completing migration” for the last five hours at least … is this normal? I’m using a USB C cable for the transfer. Weirdly, the connection is labeled “none” but when I check the “connection details” it says it’s an Ethernet connection at 124 mbs.

Troubleshooting Migration Assistant:
Restart the Mac. It is probably stuck in the transfer.

Troubleshooting Migration Assistant:
A. Trun Off VPNs:
Do you have a VPN turned on? IF so, turn it off. Delete all of them, if not required otherwise have.
B. Turn Off Firewalls, Momentarily:
Do you have any Firewalls turned on this Mac? If so, turn it off, momentarily, and while NOT connected to a network. Turn it back on when all is complete.
C. Try Safe Mode:
Boot in Safe Mode, and try the transfer that way. In Safe Mode, login items do not open at login, and certain caches are set aside.
Force shut down your Mac by holding down the power button till it shuts down. Then reboot and it should continue the migration.
