IOS charging limits not functioning

After updating to iOS 26.4 my iphone charging limits no longer function properly while using a magesafe batter pack. I've tried turning “charge past 90%” on and off, the charge limit setting 100% and back to 80%, letting the battery run down to 10% and turning it to 100% and back to 80%, turing it to 100% and then restarting the phone and turning the setting back to 80%, turning the setting to 100% and doing a fresh ios reinstall and turning the setting back to 80%. None of these steps resolves the issue. The issue only occurs on iOS 26.4, with a magsafe battery pack.
