How to find download history of apps

I show that an app was downloaded in 2020 but I wasn’t the one that downloaded. How I can find who in my family downloaded the app. Since then we have all upgraded our phones so does that make a difference? How do I find download history?

I find it easier to use my Mac computer to find older purchases instead of my phone. On the iPhone I have to use Settings > Account to find purchase history and, when I set it to show past dates, is only shows count for past years, not descriptions.

If you have a Mac, open the App Store App and click on your avatar in the lower left corner. When I open my history screen that in the App Store app, I see purchases made as far back as 2012 when we bought our first Apple mobile device.

On the Mac, at the top of the account screen you can view purchased iPhone and iPad apps or Mac apps(A). If you use family sharing, your can change family members (B)

If you have a computer running Win 10 or 11, you may be able to view purchases using the Windows "Apple Devices" app:

Install the Apple Devices app on Windows - Apple Support (QA)

I do not own a Win computer so cannot test that option for you.

To see the download history (I believe this should be any version of iOS):

First, open your app store and tap on your profile in the top right.

After that, go to Purchase History (I know, you might say “I want to see my download history, not this.” Don’t worry, it’s coming; they’re classified as free purchases.)

If you’re like me and don’t spend money on apps (or at least not recently), it will be blank. The filter is defaulted to last 90 days, paid. Click that blue text, or “Change Filters.”

Depending on what you want to filter to, from the drop downs, you can set filters or just check everything, then press the check mark. A list will appear and you can see the app or purchase, the date, and the price.
