iPhone XR in SOS mode

I have an iPhone XR, I was taking my case off the other night and cracked the back of my screen, last night my boyfriend accidentally dropped my phone and it hit the hardwood floor, it’s been is SOS mode ever since and we have tried LITERALLY everything and it’s not working! So if someone could please help me or tell me the best way to go about fixing this problem if it’s fixable id really appreciate it!

Make an appointment at the Apple Store / Genius Bar or an authorized Apple service shop to find out if repairs are even possible at this point.

You can find a list of authorized shops in your area using this link:

Find Locations

Rough estimate......$350-450 to get things going again, including a new screen and battery.....IF.....parts are still available. Even if they are, the money might be better spent on a newer phone.

Your call on that.

If the phone is in SOS mode – meaning that it cannot make a connection to your carrier's cellular network, or that there is a problem with your account on it – that may indicate that the phone's cellular radio hardware or antenna has been damaged.

You say that the screen is also cracked.

You've tried everything? You're phone is damaged. Not only is the screen broken, but then phone was dropped to make matters worse. You can schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar, but spending any money on fixing an iPhone XR would be a total waste of money. The phone is outdated and can't run the most current iOS 26.4. It's time to buy a new iPhone. iPhone XR was released in 2018, so it's an eight year old phone at this point.
