My iPhone 11 (passed down) is frozen. I can see the screen clearly, and notifications do come, however I cannot press anything. I have assistive touch which I can’t press either. I cannot hard restart (or whatever it is called) because my volume up button does not function. Please advise!

Absolutely nothing is going to happen until you get the broken button fixed at the Apple Store / Genius bar or an authorized Apple service shop.

Get the button fix so you can do this If your iPhone won't turn on or the screen is black - Apple Support
