Pink pointer color not appearing in all apps on MacBook Neo

Hi,

I've bought a MacBook Neo and I'm loving it so far. The only issue I have is that I've changed the pointer colour to pink as well and it doesn't show in some of the apps?

It's pink when I move it to the toolbar to the dock but it's the default black and white one in Safari or in Notion. Is this a known bug, or do I have to change some additional settings?

I've never had this problem on my Mac mini :(

Thanks for any help !!

Hi,

The pink pointer color not appearing in all applications on a MacBook is likely because specific apps—particularly third-party, creative, or full-screen apps—define their own cursor appearances, bypassing macOS system preferences. While your custom pink pointer should appear in Finder, Safari, and other system-native applications, apps like Adobe Photoshop or certain video players often ignore this setting.

Following method could solve your issue.

Reset Pointer Colors: In System Settings > Accessibility > Display, click the "Reset Colors" button, then re-apply the pink color.

Hello. So I have the same problem on the Neo, the thing is, I did what you said and did a safe boot and the problem is still there.

The only solution I found is making the pointer bigger than the second notch on the slider, then it stays the color you want it to be anywhere on the screen.

+ I think the problem started when I updated to the most recent system stuff. Tahoe 26.4.1

Do you think there could be any other solutions ?

Could this possibly be a virus situation?

Thank you.
