Apple Mail not fetching Comcast mail after v26.4 update

After updating to iOS v26.4, iPad v26.4 & macOS v26.4 the Apple Mail app not longer fetches Comcast mail. The error message says Comcast mail is not currently available. This is across the board on all my devices and affect all family members. I've verified the security setting our Comcast accounts are set to allow third-party access.

I deleted the account on my iPhone and attempted to reset up the account. I get an error message indicating the username or password combination is incorrect. I can assure you that's not the case. No issues logging into my Comcast account and using their web mail app to see my mail. So, Comcast mail is not down. I think it's an Apple v26 issue.

Any suggestions on why this occurred after updating to v26.4 and a solution?

Xfinity is updating their mail server for some users to use Yahoo mail. Your email account name will not change, but the server settings for access by third party mail clients will. Currently I have declined the message from Comcast to use Yahoo Mail and still able to access my Comcast accounts using the Mail app. Your timing of updating to iOS 26.4 is likely a coincidence and you should verify with Comcast that your Server Settings are still correct They are now pushing to use the Yahoo Mail app which is likely what MissionFishin is referring to.

I have the same issue, but I’m not sure it has to do with an apple update. I visited an Xfinity store yesterday, and they created a new app just for their emails, which I find VERY inconvenient. If I can’t integrate Comcast.net emails into my Apple email app, I’m considering dropping Comcast as an email address, which of course, will be a massive undertaking to notify all my email senders of a new address.

I haven’t been able to use my comcast.net account for two weeks on my iPhone but it works fine on my iPad. Why is this happening? I’ve deleted and reinstalled so many times and it will not work.
